Module 1: Fundamentals
- EMR interaction with atmosphere, water, soil and vegetation.
- Spatial, spectral, radiometric and temporal resolutions.
Module 2: Sensors and Platforms
- Landsat, Sentinel, MODIS and high-resolution commercial missions.
- SAR fundamentals and microwave remote sensing applications.
Module 3: Digital Image Processing
- Geometric and radiometric corrections.
- Contrast enhancement and filtering.
- Image classification and confusion matrix.
Module 4: Applied Remote Sensing
- LULC mapping and temporal change detection.
- Drought, flood and urban expansion analysis.
Practical Work
- Prepare one LULC map and one NDVI-based analysis.
- Submit methodology note and interpretation report.
Recommended Academic Practice
- Maintain lab notebook and metadata for each dataset.
- Cite data source, acquisition date and processing steps in reports.
